BP at Work – Birdsboro

Portrait of Bob Perna, husband of the artist, working at the Birdsboro Climbing Wall. He has been a climber for 40 years and continues to bolt routes and instruct new comers every year. Each year fellow climbers gather to clean up and work to make the area usable and accommodating for climbers and visitors. Bolting a route entails designing the route then drilling holes in the rock to add a bolt or fastener for climbers to clip into while moving up the wall.
